I had a narrow escape from Brahe's fate (not quite the same as water intoxication btw). Please appreciate the functioning urological organs. It's no joke when it all goes wrong.
I absolutely loved this piece. Every bit of it. Beautifully clear explanations of the amazing and complex factory that is our body. Knowing you and your writing and thinking, I knew this would not remain a physiological piece and sure enough, I had the joy of the bit about the trade-offs we must make and how we make them.
Reading this was a joy.
I have not done anything but my bookmonster day and night since July. To be completely honest, verging on TMI, I did pee a lot!
Anyway, I saw your great title, and I still have hours and hours of work to do tonight. But when I guessed that it was by you and then found I was right, and I simply had to read this until all the other stuff to fuck off. And of course I’m so happy I did.
Simply fantastic piece. I will go through your back list, “El Kurzo,” as soon as I become a normal human being again (as much as that is possible while still being me).

I'm catching up on the back posts. I love that you used Tycho Brahe as the example here.

Thanks for the kind words, Amy! Much appreciated. -- El Kurzo. :-)
